Founded in 1998 Propio Language Services provides critical interpreting and translation services that improve the quality of life with the communities we engage in. We do that by providing both remote and onsite services in more than 300 languages, for over 6,000 clients with a diverse and highly experienced staff, and over 5,000 contract interpreters. Quality interpretation is critical to our shared success, and it is only possible by bringing in the best interpreters in the industry.

We have an immediate need for a Qualified Spanish On-Site Interpreter in the Twin Cities Metro Area. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide interpretation on-site at various client locations
  • Precisely and accurately interprets critical information given by Propio’s clients into pre-determined target language(s)
  • Complies with applicable ethics and standards.
  • Interprets in a timely and accurate manner for the consumer/family members in a wide variety of settings
  • Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees.
  • Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
  • Participates, as a condition of hire, in continuing annual educational programs by Propio
  • Completion of daily activity logs and other documentation.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Perform evaluations and meet quality specifications, as requested, and outlined by the Quality Assurance Department
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • 1+ years of relevant Spanish interpreting experience
  • Intermediate level computer skills
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations to include but not limited to: TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), TDAP and Seasonal Influenza (Flu) (optional) and Covid (optional)
  • Successful completion of MDH Roster as well as a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical and/or legal interpreting experience
