British Sign Language Interpreter

Founded in 1998 Propio Language Services provides critical interpreting and translation services that improve the quality of life with the communities we engage in. We do that by providing both remote and onsite services in more than 350 Spoken Languages and Sign Languages, for over 14,000 clients with a diverse and highly experienced staff, and over 15,000 contract interpreters.
Quality interpretation is critical to our shared success, and it is only possible by bringing in the best interpreters in the industry.
We have an immediate need for a Onsite & Virtual Pre-Scheduled British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and/or prescheduled virtual interpretation.
- Precisely and accurately interprets critical information given by Propio’s clients into pre-determined target language(s).
- Complies with applicable ethics and standards.
- Interprets in a timely and accurate manner for the consumer/family members in a wide variety of settings (Retail stores, corporate meetings, employee meetings, trainings etc).
- Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with all customers, visitors and employees.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with NRCPD, RBSLI and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
- Completion of daily activity logs and other documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Sign Language Interpreter (RSLI) in the UK
- Level 6-BSL Language Qualification Certificate
- Level 6-Diploma and/or Postgraduate Degree
- Registration with NRCPD: National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deaf Blind People
- 1 years of relevant Interpreting Experience
- Intermediate level computer skills
